Sooke BC Activities & Attractions

Dining

If glasses of sherry, full breakfasts, and fresh Dungeoness crab caught right off the dock don't appeal to you, then you can take advantage of the many fine restaurants in East Sooke: the 17 Mile Pub (an old coach house), Mom's Diner (a 50's style restaurant written up in Beautiful BC Magazine), the Sooke Harbour House and many more.

Community Events

There are lots of arts and craft events, a local country market in the summer months, and outdoor events such as the Sooke Challenge and Art in the Park (an exhibition and sale of original art).

Outdoor Activities

There's nothing like spending time with nature...especially when East Sooke is such a prime example of nature's gift. You can take chartered fishing trips with "Captain Jack" or with one of the many experience operators in the area (of course they all know where the 'special spot' is!), hike along one of many trails (a free drop-off / pick-up service is available to our guests), or take advantage of Canada's legendary west-coast diving. Guided Kayak Tours - no experience? no problem! explore the inland waters of Sooke Harbour or for the experienced. Paddle the outside on the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Port Renfrew and Pedder Bay. A truly memorable experience!
